KMAT is the management aptitude test for admission to MBA and MCA programs in Karnatakaâ€™s private colleges. The entrance exam in conducted in different cities in Karnataka. The exam is conducted by the Karnataka private postgraduate colleges association, KPPGCA. Notification for the same is released in the month of April.
Karnataka private postgraduate colleges association has been conducting the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test since its establishment in 2003. The association was formed with an aim of providing support and facilitating professional education in Karnataka. It has been instrumental in streamlining the admission to professional programs like MBA and MCA to colleges and institutions affiliated to different universities in Karnataka.
KMAT is conducted in the month of July every year. The date and month of the exam is subject to change depending on the availability of dates and other factors. The application forms for aptitude test registration are available till the second week of July. Last date for submission of duly filled in application forms is usually the same as the last date for their availability. Result is announced in the month of August. For exact dates, refer to the information brochure for the current year.
Admission to management programs in private institutions in Karnataka is granted on the basis of the marks scored in the entrance test. Merit list is prepared and counseling sessions are held to allot seats to the candidates.
